Nelia and Taras Wedding Day, Church of the Holy Protection, Osgoode Hall, Le Treport

It’s not very often we’d rather pull over and wait on the highway’s shoulder on our way to a bride’s house, but coming down Hwy.427 that morning, on route to Nelia’s Toronto apartment, was proving to be a challenge. It was raining so hard the windshield wipers could not keep up and as a result I could barely see couple of feet past the hood of our car. It was simply pouring so Sandra and I were discussing Plan B – indoor locations to replace our planned Osgoode Hall bridal and formal photography shoot. By the time we headed out tho the ceremony, the weather completely cleared up in a way just as spectacular as it rained and we went ahead with all the original plans. The service at the Ukrainian Church of the Holy Protection was very moving, helped in no small part by the beautifully singing choir back upstairs. We had a bit of fun afterwards at Osgoode Hall (perhaps the worst kept secret location in Downtown Toronto) and on Queen Street before heading out to the reception held at Le Treport.

This is a small photo snippet of their day.

Enjoy!

Sheryl and Darryl Wedding Day, Paradise Convention Centre, Vaughan, ON.

There were a few very hot days here in Toronto so in preparing for this outdoor wedding we were hoping for nicer, cooler weather. We were pretty lucky and save for a bit of wind taking exception with Sheryl’s veil at times, everybody was pretty comfortable. Melissa, the couple’s wedding coordinator made sure everything went together very smoothly. There was of course some jumping, some “pole dancing” and some pretty dazzling air guitar displays, all in good fun.

And yes, the cake WAS delicious :-).

This is a snippet of their Big Day. Enjoy.

Jen and Kevin's Big Day, McMichael, The Club at Bond Head

Back to the  Club at Bond Head  with Jen and Kevin for their wedding day. Kevin having a Ph.D. in Chemistry had something to do with all the little details on this day, from the Periodic table inspired cufflinks to a table seating/ numbering chart having nothing to do with numbering except element’s atomic numbers. From Tottenham to  McMichael Canadian Art Collection  back to the Club at Bond this was definitely a day to remember. It’s not every day one finds out Palladium is just as precious as Platinum and gets to take something other than “tee shots” on a golf course (many thanks go to our gracious hosts at the Club who allowed us on their beautifully groomed course). Oh, we had a  Supermoon as well… “According to NASA, a full moon at perigee is up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than one at its furthest point (apogee)”… but who’s counting…

This is just a small snippet of the day. Enjoy!

Imelda and Brian Wedding, Keswick, Georgina, ON

Imelda and Brian know how to throw a party. When we were told the wedding ceremony and reception will be held at their family estate, we really did not know what to expect. Well everything was impeccable starting with the lovingly manicured estate grounds and beautiful ceremony setting to the fun tent barbeque and party that followed. Oh, let’s not forget the car service :). It is not frequent we get to have a bit of fun with an old shiny Chevy pick-up truck!

This is the story of their day.

Katie and Jake Wedding, Black Creek Pioneer Village, Toronto.

This wedding was a bit special for us. We were back in the same house Martha has started her Big Day to document her sister’s wedding. We cannot be more grateful about how the Cowie family has treated us. Katie and Jake wanted to put their special mark on this day and they definitely got everything (save the humidity :)) right. From their heartfelt ceremony at Thornhill’s Presbyterian Church to their reception at the Grand Pavilion in the Black Creek Pioneer Village everything flew seamlessly together. Jake proved himself equally at ease driving off in a stick shift Bimmer and on stage singing with the UW Waterboys.

This is the story of their day.

K and M Buddist Wedding Day, West River, Vaughan

This is the second day of K an M’s wedding, the Buddhist ceremony. And the PARTY ! What one photographer can respond when a whole bridal party is saying “we’re doing the jump shot!” but “let me see how high you can do it … show me what you got…” 😉 It quickly became pretty evident just how high they were prepared to jump, despite the midday scorching sun.

This is the largest entry in our blog so far, almost as long as an actual album layout would run. Please be patient as it loads… Enjoy !

Martha and Quenton Wedding, Oakview Terrace, Richmond Hill

Lintlaw, a small community of some 200 souls in an almost forgotten corner of Saskatchewan. We say almost because it takes people like Quenton and Martha to remind us places like this still exist and they are the roots of this country. Shortly after their wedding Quenton and Martha took over the task of caring for these souls and that’s definitely no easy task.

Their ceremony was at All Saints Anglican Church in King City, Reception at Oakview Terrace, Richmond Hill.

K and M Engagement, Distillery District, Toronto

Here we go again, shooting an engagement in the Distillery District. It was pretty windy and cold but that did not deter K and M one bit. We braved the weather and had quite a bit of fun there. Really looking forward to shooting their two day wedding later this summer :-).
